I live in Billings, MT. I fish the yellowstone and was looking for new bait to use for trout, ling & catfish?

I’ve used a lot οf different baits, , sucker meat, chad, minnows. аll work well. I јυѕt want tο know іf thеrе іѕ something nеw out thеrе I сουld try аnd add tο thе baits I υѕе.

    I use to fish the Green River…
    FireBalls worked pretty good for Trout…
    Fishing down in Utah, over at flaming gorge and FireHole I would use a spinner with those tiny light sticks… now those worked like magic

    For catfish, here’s a new one: 1" x 1" chunks of mackerel. Not all stores carry it, but sometimes you can find it frozen in the freezer near the meat dept. If you can’t find it, ask the butcher to bring it in for you. Also he may know of an alternative. What makes it so good is the oily nature of the meat. As for trout: try fly-fishing! Its a blast, and will open up many new areas for you to fish. If that seems like too much, trout will take spinners or spoons which can be cast and retrieved. Good luck!

    I suggeest the Berkley Powerbait for trout and catfish. They carry them in all major sportstores, like Bass Pro Shops, Gander Mountain, and Dicks…
