What is right size pond pump for Koi pond?

I am confused. I’ve been told that for my Koi pond the pond pump should cycle the water in my 6700 liter pond once an hour by one source and once every two hours by another. What is the right rate if I want to maintain crystal clear water and healthy Koi? Is it 3350 liters per hour or 6700 liters per hour?

    Definitely not the 3,350 lt/hour. Koi are messy fish. If you can’t get a filter better than the 6,700 lt/hour, just get it. If I were you, I would aim for a even better pump. I know some pumps can go for much larger quantities. Either that or get 2 x 6,700 lt/hour pumps.

    Remember with goldfish there is nothing wrong with extra filtration. They are by far some of the messiest freshwater fish out there. Literally, ammonia and poop machines.

    you should get a pump that pumps water though the filter twice in an hour. lets say you have a 100gallon tank, you need to get at least a 200gallon per hour pump
