Need advice on pond filter pump and air pump?

New pond advice

I need some advice about pond filter, , and air pump to purchase for a pond we are building in two weeks.  The pond needs crystal clear water for the we’ll be keeping so the fish are healthy.  The plan is to include a cascading for aesthetics and to aerate the water.  Should we add an air pump or stones for additional aeration?  We expect to use a pond filter with integrated UV.  The does not include any plants.  Oh, yeah, the pond is eight feet by eight feet by four feet, about 1500 gallons (2.4 meters by 2.4 meters by 1.2 meters and 6900 liters).

    To answer your question would take a page as long as a roll of wall paper. There are so many products features and knowledge needed that really you need a bit of time to research everything before you spend your hard earned money. I suggest reading up on keeping koi first then planning out what you can do, afford and what expectations you have, I find splashtastic-aquatics helpful as it covers pretty much everything all on one website.

    I would actually put plants in your pond I talked to a smart guy at walmart when I got my fish he says that if fish don’t have a place to hide when they’re startled or else they’ll die from stress. Be careful when you put the fish in put them in one by one or else they will be stressed I’d say put one fish in every day
