How do I get rid of foam on my Koi pond?

My thousand gallon Koi pond has started to get a foam on the surface and the water is not as clear as it has been.  For a long time the water has been very clear.  I recently changed the UV bulb but other than that I am using the same , UV light source, and pump. I don’t see any improvement from changing out the UV bulb.

    White foam at the entry of the pond is a sign of a high level of dissolved organic compounds. Do some partial water changes and add some Aqua Gold to the pond to handle the high organic load.

    hmm i have 3 koi ponds and havent had that problem in 15 years o.o
    the only thing i can think of is your water isn’t clean, or your pump isn’t efficient enough for 1000 gallons of water. And i don’t think you need a UV bulb or heaters for koi fishes. they’re pretty tough fishies :P

    Several things can cause that. Excess protein, fish mating. It will go away in a few days on its own. It won’t hurt anything, so don’t worry.
