Anyone ever have Koi pond poisoned?

Someone poisoned Koi pond

My friends Koi pond had lots of bubbles and suds a month ago.  The swam very erratically and were gasping for air.  Within the week all the and Koi fish died.  People would stop and admire the pond and fish because it was close to the road.  My friend is thinking that a jealous person put some in the pond.  The reason they think this is within a few days the water became very clear like what you would expect in a swimming pool.

My question is has anyone experience somebody killing all their in this way?  I know it will be hard to prove who did it even if we can determine exactly what caused this.  They are concerned about their other pets and can not guess who is responsible.  Who knows what evil lurks in the minds and hearts of people?

    Some kid probably threw some chlorine tablets or bleach in there. They should have taken some water samples to the pet stores, or Fish and Game Commision. You must have some sort of Wildlife Conservation "Police" wherever you are. That would be a serious crime in my state, and with a conviction (which is doubtful for lack of evidence), could result in some jail time and or parole with heavy fines.

    thats sad..i love koi fish they are so pretty and colorful and they alwaise open their mouths when you come close to them, hoping that you would feed them food. i love koi fish tattoo so many people have them. koi fish looks like a mystical being that have special powers almost like magikarp from pokemon and koi fish sometimes i think they looks kind of asian but i see some other colorful koi fish that mite make them white, black, hispanic, etc. i also saw many koi fish in zoo. WHOOOPSSS sry i got off topic

    Do you live on a dirt road if so when the road is graded they also chloride it, the chloride will kill the fish and the plants in your pond.

    I Have had my fish poisoned over the weekend everyone of my fish dead. I have had them 15 years. There are only limited people who are aware of my fish so know it would be one of them but sadly not able to prove it. The RSPCA said if i can prove who did it they will prosicute them!! Im going to start again but this time with cctv/

    I have lots about £3000 worth of fish and nobody cares!!!
