Is thousand gallon pond OK for a common silver arowana?

Can a common silver arowana live in a 1000 gallon pond? What will I need if yes? There are five plants in the pond but they do not float. I do not want Koi.  The water is already cleaned and kept in motion by a filter.  Will a pond heater be necessary?

As an alternative I am considering getting a Florida gar.  Would the gar be more or less effort to maintain? If there is low in the pond can the gar breath air?

    Recommended temperature range: 24 – 25 C. [Display in Farenheit]
    Recommended pH range: 6 – 7.8.
    Recommended hardness range: 1 – 15 dH.

    They will both fit, and you could add another gar or arowana if you wanted to. Make sure you keep it covered.
