How do I plant freshwater aquatic plants?

Adding to tank

I have a ten gallon tank set up with neon tetras.  I want to add some plants.  What type of plants would be good? Can I add / plant aquatic plants even through the tank is already full of water? The CO2 levels are correct in the water.  Any suggestions?

    sometimes putting the roots in the gravel at first will kill the plant. tie it to a piece of driftwood or rock first until the roots goes into the gravel itself. java fern is a good plant or java moss or an anubias. these are all good

    just grab the rooted area of anyplant, and shuv it in the gravel and move it about abit until it stays. then cover any showing roots with extra gravel. once they have setled in they should secure. you have to plant them with water in… and just go to the store and pick a plant you like. fish really arent fussy unless like… if they need shade etc. the neons really wont care lol. its mostly for your enjoyment :) have fun experimenting and moving things around. its always fun lol chloe x
