Why are goldfish eating algea wafers?

I feed my bu the keep eating them. They continue to do it even through we feed the regularly.  Should I be concerned?

    Goldfish are omnivores, meaning they eat pretty much anything. They are also very greedy. They will eat even if they aren’t really hungry.
    Try feeding the "sucker fish" at night (drop the algae wafers in when you turn out the lights at bedtime). Most "suckers" are nocturnal, but goldfish are not.

    Goldfish eat a large quanity of plant foods, more than they eat animal foods. Try feeding them a larger quantity of green foods, or use algae pellets instead, which are harder for them to swallow all at once.

    Goldfish have a tendency to eat excess amounts of food and are known to be scavengers so they will try to eat basically anything that can fit in their mouths.

    Goldfish are herbavores so they eat the algae wafers cause they are vegetable matter. Also, goldfish will just plain old eat anything they can fit into their mouths, lol.

    Goldfish are omnivores and will eat practically anything, and even though you have fed them it’s almost impossibe to fill them up.

    Try dropping in the algae tablets after you switch the lights off. Plecos are nocturnal and will find food in the dark.
